Hey bulldogs, my name is Gabriel Parra and I am a third-year agricultural education major with an emphasis in plant science. Currently, I serve as the ASI senator for Undergraduate and Graduate Affairs, academic committee chair, Vice-chair of the JCAST Leadership Council, active brother of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, and an officer for the multicultural JCAST agricultural ambassadors. Being involved in many clubs on campus I have seen first hand the opportunities that are available when there is financial freedom. However, within my time with ASI, I have realized that not all students and clubs are aware of the financial assistance available. Upon election, I wish to provide awareness for those grants available to help ensure that students and clubs have financial assistance for their projects. Having the opportunity to speak with current and past VPF, I am confident that I will effectively manage the ASI Budget and finance committee.
