I am a first generation 3rd year college student majoring in Chicano Studies. I decided to join ASI because this establishment’s purpose is to SERVE others. Growing up I was very disadvantaged due to a variety of circumstances. Fortunately I was provided with great resources and opportunities in order to overcome any barriers. I will now like to pay it forward. This year I hope to work towards making this campus an inclusive community, provide resources to all students, but more importantly make every student’s voice MATTER.
